Parker students attending classes in the morning and Farmland students attending classes in the afternoon. Parker Elementary School served as the corporation elementary school for the remainder of the 1973-1974 school year. School began on Monday, April 15, 1974, for teachers and on April 16 for students 3 days of school missed as spring vacation was during the week of April 8. High School was destroyed by a tornado, Wednesday, April 3, 1974, Stoney Creek was phased out and Farmland and Parker continued as elementary schools Monroe Central Junior-Senior High School, grades 7-12, new building dedicated 1963. Stoney Creek school was used by all fifth and sixth graders in the corporation during 1961-63. The first piece of fire apparatus acquired by the company was purchased for 1,000.00 from Ward LaFrance. In the late 90's an additional Bay which was a drive through bay, was added. In the late 80's and early 90's a small renovation was completed to add bathrooms to the upstairs. The present building was first occupied in 1946, an additional garage bay was added in 1948, three truck bays were added in 1957. Briggs donated the property at the corner of Route 15 and Edison where the present fire house is located. This Building was used until 1946 when the beloved Ellen T. The first firehouse was in a shed located on what was then known as Tierney's Corner Tavern, and is now the McDonald's Restaurant. On May 6, 1942, the name was changed to Jefferson Township Fire Company # 2. On April 2, 1942, charter members Martin Brown, James McElroy, Fred Kaessinger, Joe Tolton, George Robinson Sr., Wilbur Willis, and Walter Castimore established the Lake Hopatcong Fire Association.
